Trivia
ICA stands for Integrated Concept Advancement. This is a Delft University of Technology research group of the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Their main goal is to further explore and develop ways to intuitively input geometric data into 3d and CAD/CAM computer modeling applications. In this way helping (industrial) designers already in the beginning of the design process to shape their ideas with the help of computing power. With these kind of technologies designers do not longer create a non-alterable sketch but a changeable parametric 3d model which in many cases could actually serve as geometric data for the final CAM production files.
The logo symbolizes the desired intuitive and fuzzy input of the designer being translated and converted directly in the background into geometric computer data in this way enabling the CAD process with more rich input possibilities.
