Trivia
The Amsterdam Airport Schiphol logo symbolizes a runway and the path of a plane taking off. The two lines, orange/red and blue together with the horizontal whitespace in between form the Dutch flag. The Dutch flag is red-white-blue, but is often accompanied by an orange vane. This is the orange color of the royal Dutch 'van Oranje' family. The Schiphol logo was designed by Peter Wagner in 1978 and was updated by FHV BBDO in 1998.
Like the BBA logo, the Schiphol logo references to the main service Schiphol provides: a gateway to the sky.
