The Rolling Stones lip and tongue logo was used for the group's self-titled vanity label "Rolling Stones Records". In the early 1990s the group signed with Virgin, but still continued to use this as their personal symbol. In September 2008 the original design of the logo was bought by the V&A Museum at an auction for £50,000.
