TriviaABN, Algemene Bank Nederland was, in the 1970s, a revered and respected Dutch institution. In 1974, the bank was re-launched with a new visual identity that emphasized the initials, ABN.
In 1993 ABN alone ceased to exist when the bank merged with another Dutch bank, the AMRO Bank, to become ABN-AMRO Bank.
