Trivia
Adidas was founded by Adolf (Adi) Dassler, who started producing shoes in the 1920s with the help of his brother Rudolf Dassler who later formed the rival shoe company Puma. All Adidas logos, products and especially its shoes typically feature three parallel stripes. It is said the three elements in the logo represent Dassler’s three sons. This 1972 trefoil (flower) logo consists of three leaves and should symbolize the Olympic spirit linked to the three continental plates as well as the heritage and history of the brand. In 1996 on the arrival of the new corporate logo, it was decided that the Trefoil corporate identity would only be used on heritage products.
