TriviaThis logo replaced the original Pan Am Blue Ball. The main change is the
stream-lining and connection of the letters. This served as the logo of
the airline until it ceased operations in 1991, appearing in
advertising, on signage, on most company documents, and on aircraft
tails. Pan Am Systems, a rail carrier, now places the logo on most of
its rolling stock.
