"The new Bayer Cross Fresher, more colorful, more modern"
The new logo is said to be completely redesigned to reflect "The New Bayer." The goal was to give the trademark a modern and relevant design without impairing its recognizability.
The first landmark Bayer Cross in the new design was erected at Cologne/Bonn airport in January 2002. The striking Bayer colors catch the viewer's eye from a great distance. Further newly developed details are the rounded support beams, typography, colors and contours of the Bayer Cross.
The new Bayer logo applied at the front of the Bayer Schering Pharma main building in Berlin.
