The logo symbolizes an individual (man or woman) in a dynamic attitude (running or jumping), "a human figure in a sports attitude". Red and yellow are the colors of Spain and blue is used to reference to the Mediterranean Sea and the "Mediterranean-ness" of Barcelona. The use of Times Demi Bold (New Roman) typography references antiquity and Romanness, Latin-ness and seriousness.
