Michael Bierut

Michael Bierut (1957) is a graphic designer, design critic and design teacher.
Bierut studied graphic design at the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture and Planning, graduated summa cum laude in 1980.

Bierut for ten years worked as a VP of graphic design at Vignelli Associates. Since 1990 he has been a partner in the New York office of Pentagram. At Pentagram Bierut is responsible for leading a team of graphic designers designing mainly corporate identities, environmental graphics and editorial design solutions.
